Okay culture for remote software engineers
Pros: I really liked the **remote work** setup. It's super helpful for **software engineers** who need flexibility. My project team was generally pretty collaborative, which made daily tasks decent.
Cons: The **company culture** feels a bit inconsistent across departments. It's hard to connect with people outside your immediate team, making it feel less cohesive. There isn't a strong sense of company-wide community for **remote employees**.
Advice to Management: Try to create more company-wide social events and initiatives for **remote employees** to build a stronger sense of community. Work on standardizing the culture across different project teams.

Okay Pay, But Benefits Could Improve
Pros: The base salary for my Software Engineer role is pretty solid. We also get a decent 401k match, which is a good perk. Remote work also saves on commute costs and provides work flexibility.
Cons: Health insurance premiums are kinda high here, it eats into the paycheck quite a bit. There aren't many extra perks or bonuses for remote employees in the tech industry. Can't say the total compensation is top-tier.
Advice to Management: Consider improving the health benefits and offering more remote employee perks to attract and retain top talent in the competitive tech industry. A better total compensation package would make a big difference.

Decent Pay for a Mid-Sized Tech Role
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer in Dallas, TX was pretty competitive for a company of this size. They offered a solid 401k match, which is definitely a good benefit.
Cons: Bonuses for IT consulting roles aren't really a thing here, so don't expect much extra. Annual raises were often just barely covering inflation, so significant pay bumps are tough.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent with the pay bands and offer clearer paths for employees to earn significant raises beyond small annual adjustments. This would help with retention for core engineering talent.
