Good Work Flexibility for Project Coordinators
Pros: I really like the hybrid model here for Project Coordinator roles. I can usually work remote two days a week, which is a huge plus for my work-life balance. It's decent to adjust my schedule for personal appointments, which isn't always easy in a corporate setting like the Houston office.
Cons: Sometimes, getting approval for extra WFH days can be tough; it feels like it depends a lot on your direct manager. While the general policy is hybrid, some teams are pressured to be onsite more often than others, which shows inconsistent application of the work-flexibility policy across the company.
Advice to Management: Standardize work flexibility policies across all departments and locations. It would really help with employee morale and consistency if managers applied WFH guidelines more uniformly for roles like Project Coordinators. Invest in better collaboration tools for hybrid teams in the inspection, testing, and certification industry.

Okay Flexibility for Field Work, But It's a Trade-off
Pros: As a Field Inspector in Houston, TX, you sometimes get to manage your day. If you finish inspections early, you can often head home. That's a decent perk in the inspection industry.
Cons: Formal work-from-home for report writing isn't really a thing. You're mostly onsite. It's tough to get true work flexibility when your job depends on client schedules.
Advice to Management: Consider formalizing some work-from-home options for tasks like report writing. It would really help with work-life balance for Field Inspector roles and could boost morale. It's tough for employees to feel valued without more options.

Decent place, but work can pile up sometimes
Pros: I like the stability SGS offers; it's a big, established company. For Project Coordinator roles, you often get some flexibility with your start and end times, which helps. My team in the Houston office was generally supportive and made the job feel less stressful most days.
Cons: Work-life balance here isn't always great, especially when projects for inspection services are really busy. You'll definitely have weeks where you're working over 40 hours. There's pressure to hit deadlines, and sometimes you feel like you can't really log off.
Advice to Management: Try to better distribute workloads, especially for Project Coordinator teams handling multiple client demands in testing services. It would really help prevent burnout and improve overall morale.
