Pros: The medical aid and pension plans are pretty good, definitely a plus. They offer decent paid time off which is nice for a hybrid work model. For a tech company, the basic benefits are solid.
Cons: As a Senior Software Developer, my base salary felt low for the IT consulting industry in Johannesburg. There's not much room to negotiate compensation either, even with strong performance. It's tough to get market-rate salaries.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate salary bands, especially for experienced software developers in the Johannesburg office. Make sure compensation is competitive with other IT consulting firms to retain talent.
