Decent Hybrid Model for Software Engineers
Pros: You get a hybrid work option here, which is pretty solid for a big tech company in the insurance software space. As a Software Engineer, I had 2-3 days WFH most weeks. It's nice to avoid the commute a few times.
Cons: The 'flexibility' can depend a lot on your direct manager, which isn't always fair. It's not truly remote work, so don't expect to skip the office entirely. Some teams have less wiggle room with their schedules.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policies across all departments. More options for remote-first roles would be a huge plus for employee retention and attracting top talent for IT roles.

Decent place for stability in insurance tech
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I felt pretty secure. There's always work on their core insurtech solutions for big clients. Remote work is well-established, which adds to the comfort.
Cons: Growth can feel slow sometimes. It's an older corporate environment, so new ideas don't always get traction fast. You might feel a bit pigeonholed into specific projects.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more internal innovation and clearer paths for career advancement beyond just sticking to current projects.

Majesco's Culture: It's Okay, Room to Grow
Pros: The best part is definitely the people you work with. As a Software Developer, my immediate team was always supportive, and there's a good camaraderie. The WFH setup is solid, which helps with personal life.
Cons: Company culture can feel a bit old-school for an an insurance software firm. Decision-making is slow, and it's tough to get new ideas heard. There isn't much recognition for individual effort, which can be draining.
Advice to Management: Try to listen more to the folks on the ground. Acknowledge good work; it goes a long way. Make the culture more dynamic for modern insurance software development.
