Decent flexibility for remote tech roles
Pros: I'm a Software Engineer here, and the work flexibility is pretty good. Working remote from Dallas, TX means I can actually run errands or hit appointments during the day. As long as the work gets done, managers are usually cool with it for our tech roles.
Cons: The main issue is the time zone difference with our teams in India. It means some network automation project meetings can stretch really late into my evening. You can't always just log off right after core hours, which isn't ideal for work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Please look at optimizing global meeting schedules. It'd really help with evening commitments for remote staff.

AppViewX: Flexibility is okay, could be better
Pros: As a Software Engineer here, I've seen decent flexibility. If you need to step away from your desk for an hour, it's usually fine if your work's caught up. The remote work setup is a big plus for a cybersecurity software company.
Cons: The big issue is the constant pressure for late meetings. With teams spread out, it's tough for my remote schedule. It can really mess with your evenings, especially if you're working on network automation projects that need a lot of coordination.
Advice to Management: Try to be more mindful of global team time zones for meeting scheduling. It really impacts work-life balance for remote employees.

Okay work-life balance, depends on your team
Pros: Working as a DevOps Engineer here, the hybrid model actually helps sometimes. You can usually get your 40-50 hours in most weeks, which is decent for a mid-sized tech company in the network security space.
Cons: But when big releases for our cloud infrastructure solutions are due, prepare for longer hours. The work-life balance here isn't always consistent; some weeks feel like a real grind, making it tough to disconnect.
Advice to Management: Try to distribute workload better during peak project times so engineers don't get burnt out. Consistent schedules would really improve things for everyone.
