Leadership is okay, but can be slow
Pros: They do try to foster development, especially for mid-level managers. There's a solid structure for career paths here in this big corporate, which is a plus for stability. Good training programs are available if you push for them.
Cons: Decision-making is really slow, especially from upper management. It's frustrating as a Product Manager waiting for approvals on projects. Sometimes there's a disconnect between directives from top leaders and what actually works on the ground in the Mumbai office.
Advice to Management: Speed up decision making and empower mid-level leaders more. Trust your teams to innovate and adapt locally. Listen to those on the ground, especially in a dynamic market like India.

Solid job security, but slow growth
Pros: For an Assistant Brand Manager in the Mumbai office, job security is pretty high. It's a very established FMCG company, so layoffs aren't a frequent concern. You feel quite stable, which is a big plus.
Cons: On the flip side, career growth can feel really slow sometimes. With so much stability, new opportunities don't pop up quickly. It's not the place if you're looking for rapid promotions or quick role changes.
Advice to Management: Management should try to create clearer paths for career growth and skill development. People value stability, but they also want to feel like they're progressing in their careers.

Decent place, but flexibility can be tough
Pros: You get solid job security working for a major consumer goods company. The sales training is pretty good. There's a strong network across India, which is an advantage for career growth within the FMCG sector.
Cons: True work flexibility is often very limited. As a Sales Executive, your schedule is largely set by client visits and territory management. The hybrid model doesn't always apply well to field roles, making WFH rare and hard to manage.
Advice to Management: Consider how work flexibility can realistically apply to field roles. Maybe offer more structured remote days or flexible hours when not actively on client visits. The current hybrid model isn't always practical for Sales Executives.

Good Job Security, Slow Career Growth
Pros: For a Sales Executive in the FMCG industry, your job is generally safe. You don't really have to worry about sudden layoffs, especially in the corporate Mumbai office. It's a stable company, which is a big plus.
Cons: Career progression can feel incredibly slow. You often see external hires instead of internal promotions, which is tough for motivation. The work can also get a bit repetitive after a while for mid-level roles.
Advice to Management: Focus more on internal talent development and create clear paths for promotion. It helps a lot with employee morale when people see opportunities to grow within the company.

Okay stability, but work flexibility is tough.
Pros: It's a big corporate, so job security is solid here. The pay for a Marketing Manager is decent too. You learn a lot about the India FMCG market, which is valuable experience.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't really a thing. They're pushing for more onsite work, even with a 'hybrid' policy in place. It's hard to balance personal life with the demanding product launch cycles, especially in the Mumbai office.
Advice to Management: Seriously rethink the hybrid model. Give employees, especially those in marketing roles, more autonomy. Trust people to do their jobs without needing constant onsite presence; it would boost morale and reduce burnout.

Stable job, but growth can be slow.
Pros: As a Sales Executive, my job security felt solid. It's a big corporate in the FMCG industry, so there's less worry about layoffs. You can expect a steady role if you perform.
Cons: While secure, career growth isn't always quick for individual contributor roles. It can feel like you're in the same spot for a while. Getting a promotion often takes serious time.
Advice to Management: Try to create clearer paths for advancement, especially for people in sales. It would help keep good talent motivated.

Good Foundation, Slow Career Growth Path
Pros: It's a solid place to learn the ropes in the FMCG industry. You get great foundational experience, especially for entry-level marketing roles in the Mumbai office. The training programs are pretty decent too.
Cons: Career growth here can feel really slow. There's a lot of internal competition for senior positions. It's tough to move up unless someone leaves or a new role is created, especially as a Junior Marketing Associate.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into clearer career paths for junior employees. More opportunities for cross-functional moves would help keep people motivated and engaged.
