Pros: The projects were genuinely interesting for a Software Engineer, especially working on core programming tools. You learn a lot if you're into deep software development. Pay and benefits were solid back then, especially for the Scotts Valley, CA area.
Cons: Don't expect much work flexibility here. It's strictly an onsite culture, and there's no real hybrid model for development roles. Leaving early for appointments was tough, which really hurt my work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Consider offering even a little more remote work or hybrid options. It's tough to retain talent when other places are starting to offer more freedom.
