Solid place if you value stability
Pros: The job security here is pretty strong because we're a defense contractor. Government contracts mean consistent work, which is a big plus for a Logistics Coordinator. I never worried about layoffs, even during slow times.
Cons: While job security is good, career growth for roles like mine can be slow. Promotions are rare. The pay and benefits are just decent, not competitive compared to other companies in the Ottawa tech or logistics scene.
Advice to Management: Think about creating clearer paths for career growth, especially for long-term employees. It's tough to stay motivated without upward mobility.

Decent benefits, but don't expect big raises
Pros: The health benefits are actually quite good for a mid-sized contractor, especially dental. They've got a solid pension plan too, which is a big plus for job security. You'll get some decent vacation time as a Logistics Coordinator.
Cons: Salary growth isn't great, it's really slow. I feel like my pay hasn't kept up with the cost of living in Ottawa, which is a major bummer. There's not much transparency around compensation for similar roles in the Ottawa office.
Advice to Management: Review the compensation structure, especially for those of us in the Ottawa office. Merit increases should actually reflect performance and market rates.

Okay Culture for Government Contracting Roles
Pros: As a Project Coordinator, I've found the people here are generally decent. It's a stable environment, which is good for those in the government contracting industry. You get consistent work and a pretty clear structure, no big surprises.
Cons: The culture can feel a bit slow-paced, though. Sometimes it's hard to get new ideas moving, which can be frustrating. There isn't much focus on innovation, and things can feel a bit old-school in the Ottawa office.
Advice to Management: Management should try to encourage more dynamic team interactions and maybe streamline some processes. A bit more focus on modern work practices could really boost morale and efficiency.
