Field Service Technician
3.0

Field Service Balance is a Real Grind
Pros: The team is pretty solid, and you get to learn a lot about material handling technology. They pay decent for a Field Service Technician, especially with overtime, which helps. Sometimes you get a bit of autonomy on scheduling minor repair jobs.
Cons: Work-life balance here is tough. As a Field Service Technician, you're constantly on call, often working 50+ hour weeks. The travel for clients needing their industrial trucks serviced really eats into your personal time, especially covering the northern Germany region.
Advice to Management: Management needs to hire more Field Service Technicians to lighten the load. We can't keep covering such huge service areas without burning out. Better route planning and clear limits on weekend calls would help immensely for our work-life balance.
