Sales Representative

Okay Work-Life, Some Room for Improvement
Pros: For a Sales Representative, the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week is a huge plus, which helps with work-life balance. When I'm not in the Indianapolis office, it's easier to handle personal stuff. The base pay for these auto auction roles is solid, too.
Cons: But honestly, the sales targets can be pretty intense, making it tough to truly disconnect. Even with hybrid work, I often feel like I'm on call late. It's not always easy to hit that true 40-hour week.
Advice to Management: Managers should consider more realistic quarterly targets for sales teams. This would genuinely improve the work-life balance for those of us engaging with the dealer network every day, and help prevent burnout.

Pay and Benefits Are Decent, Room for Improvement
Pros: The health benefits package is pretty solid for a corporate environment, and you get decent PTO. I appreciate the 401k match too; it's not huge but it's there.
Cons: Salaries for Software Engineer roles often feel below market, especially considering the skill sets needed in the automotive remarketing industry. There isn't much opportunity for performance bonuses or significant raises.
Advice to Management: Review compensation packages for technical roles to ensure they are competitive with industry standards. More transparent paths for salary increases would help.

Operations Specialist

Pretty stable, but there are shifts
Pros: Job security feels pretty solid for core operational roles, especially in the online auto auction space. They don't do mass layoffs often, which is a relief. Being remote from Texas for an Operations Specialist is a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: The auto remarketing industry can be cyclical, so sometimes you worry about market downturns. They've had some team restructuring, which always makes you a bit nervous. Don't expect huge growth here, so upward mobility isn't always a given.
Advice to Management: Keep communication clear and transparent, especially when there are reorganizations. It really helps with employee morale and reduces anxiety about job security.
