Good Company, But Career Growth Is Tough
Pros: It's a stable, mid-sized company with interesting work in advanced foam materials. I've learned a lot about the products and their applications as an R&D Engineer. The team at the Croydon site is generally supportive and friendly.
Cons: Career progression is really slow here; there aren't many opportunities to move up. They don't have clear development paths, especially for technical roles. Training options for new skills are also pretty limited.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career pathways and invest more in employee development programs. Offer regular internal training for technical skills. This would help retain talent.

Career Growth Can Be Tough Here
Pros: You learn a lot about specialized foam manufacturing. It's a stable job in a good industry. You get hands-on experience in their onsite work environment.
Cons: Career growth for Process Engineer roles is slow. There aren't many new projects to drive your development. Upward mobility isn't clear in this medium-sized company.
Advice to Management: Create clearer career paths for technical roles. Offer more opportunities for cross-functional projects. This would help retain talent in polymer processing.

Stable work, but growth is slow
Pros: Job security is actually pretty good here. As a Production Operator in plastics manufacturing, I've felt secure, even through tough economic times. They aren't quick to lay people off, which is a big plus.
Cons: The pay isn't amazing for the industry, and raises are small. There's not much opportunity for career growth or advancing in foam production. It can feel a bit stagnant after a while.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the salary bands to be more competitive within the materials manufacturing industry. Also, creating clearer paths for internal promotion would boost morale and retain talent.
