Decent WFH culture for cloud roles
Pros: The flexibility of working remotely is a big plus. As a Cloud Consultant, I could manage my own schedule for most cloud projects. It's a decent setup if you're good at WFH.
Cons: Sometimes client demands mean long hours, especially nearing project deadlines. It can be tough to completely disconnect, and some weeks felt more like 50+ hours. The workload varies a lot in this mid-size tech company.
Advice to Management: Management should try to enforce stricter policies around project scope to prevent consultants from getting overwhelmed. Better staffing for critical cloud projects would help.

Remote Work is Solid, but Watch for Long Hours
Pros: The remote work arrangement is definitely a plus for a mid-sized tech company like CLOUDSUFI; it gives you tons of flexibility. It's nice not commuting into an office, especially as a Cloud Consultant, and our WFH setup is generally pretty solid.
Cons: Work-life balance here is tough when big projects hit; it's easy to work over 50 hours a week for weeks straight. Sometimes, the expectations for IT consulting deliverables feel unrealistic, pushing you to work late into the evenings to meet client demands.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes and client expectations so Cloud Consultants aren't constantly overwhelmed. More structured support for avoiding burnout would really help maintain a healthier work-life balance.

Okay for learning, slow on career growth.
Pros: You get to work on a lot of different cloud computing projects here. It's great for expanding your technical skills as a Cloud Engineer. I learned a ton from the senior folks on new tech.
Cons: There's no clear path for promotions or moving up. You kinda have to make your own opportunities. It feels like significant career growth is limited after a certain point, especially into leadership roles.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to create clearer career paths and promotion frameworks. It would help a lot with retention for cloud professionals if there were more defined growth opportunities beyond just learning.

Remote Work is a Plus, Watch for Project Spikes
Pros: I really liked the WFH flexibility as a Cloud Solutions Architect. It's solid for managing personal stuff. You get to work on diverse cloud consulting projects too, which is a big plus for learning.
Cons: The biggest issue is definitely the unpredictable hours. Some IT services projects require a lot of late nights, especially near deadlines, and it's not always compensated. This really impacts your work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries with clients on project scope and overtime expectations. It would really help with employee burnout.
