Customer Service Representative

Leadership's fine, but could be better here
Pros: The team I worked with as a Customer Service Representative was really supportive. Management does try to offer some hybrid work options, which is a nice perk for insurance comparison roles. The Peterborough office itself is pretty modern and has good facilities.
Cons: Leadership above direct managers feels a bit disconnected from daily operations. It's tough getting clear direction sometimes, especially with new initiatives in this fintech space. There's a lot of micromanagement from higher-ups, even for experienced staff.
Advice to Management: Higher management should spend more time understanding the day-to-day challenges of customer-facing roles. Empower team leads more and trust their judgment on operations.

Okay for a Big Corporate Player, WLB Varies
Pros: I liked the hybrid work option, it made balancing personal stuff easier. For a Marketing Analyst in the financial services industry, the core hours aren't too bad. You can usually get your work done without much overtime.
Cons: During peak campaign times, it can get pretty hectic. There's pressure to deliver fast, and sometimes the workload feels heavy. Can be tough to completely switch off on those days.
Advice to Management: Try to better distribute workloads during peak times to prevent burnout. More clear communication on project timelines could also help manage expectations for Marketing Analyst roles.

Hybrid Setup Is Okay, But Has Some Quirks
Pros: As a Data Analyst, I do appreciate the hybrid work arrangement. You get to work from home a couple of days a week, which helps with the commute to the Peterborough office. It's a solid perk in the price comparison website industry.
Cons: The mandatory office days can feel a bit rigid sometimes. It doesn't always feel like true flexibility when you *have* to be in. For some roles, it would be better to have more autonomy on in-office days.
Advice to Management: Give teams more say in their in-office days. It would improve morale and actual work flexibility across the corporate structure.

Okay leadership, some good managers.
Pros: Team leads are usually solid, especially if you're working in the Peterborough office. They really know the insurance comparison sector. Good support for day-to-day tasks as a Software Engineer.
Cons: Upper management can feel a bit out of touch. Decisions often feel top-down, without much input from the ground. It's tough to see a clear strategic vision sometimes.
Advice to Management: Listen more to team members. Involve us in strategic planning.
