Company Summary

Company Reviews

Most offshore engineering setups are built around headcount and cost arbitrage. Aumni is built around something different: teams that compound.

We help US and UK product and technology companies build dedicated engineering centers in India — AI-native by design, sprint-integrated in 21 days, and designed to last years, not quarters.

Every Aumni engineer works with AI-first workflows as standard practice. Claude, GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted testing, and modern automation frameworks are embedded into how teams work — not positioned as add-ons. The result is faster delivery cycles, fewer defects, and a team that operates at the quality bar of your best in-house engineers.

Founded in 2016 by Divesh Agarwal — 25+ years of US–India operating experience — Aumni covers the full engineering surface area: AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Product Engineering, and QA & Reliability, all under one roof, all staffed with domain specialists.

The numbers:
→ 6% attrition — well below the offshore industry average
→ 21-day onboarding to sprint integration
→ Full client control — hiring, roadmap, IP. Always.
→ ~400 engineers | Pune → Clients across SaaS, Fintech, Logistics, Maritime, and Oil & Gas

For companies ready to bring their India operations fully in-house, Aumni offers a clean GCC ownership pathway — legal, infrastructure, team, and culture transferred without dependency.

Headquartered in Pune, India. Serving clients across the US, UK, and Europe.

Great Place for FinTech Software Engineering Growth
Pros: As a Software Engineer at Aumni in Salt Lake City, I valued the collaborative team culture and excellent learning opportunities within FinTech. The hybrid work model was great for work-life balance, and colleagues were truly supportive. It's a solid place to develop your engineering skills.
Cons: The promotion path wasn't always clear, sometimes feeling a bit slow. Also, leadership communication on company-wide initiatives occasionally lacked desired clarity for the team.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career progression frameworks for engineers and ensure more transparent and consistent communication from leadership regarding company strategy and changes.

Okay benefits for a growing fintech startup
Pros: The health insurance options are decent, which is a plus for a smaller company. They offer good coverage for mental health too. Remote work means you save on commute costs.
Cons: Base salaries aren't super competitive for data roles, especially considering the Bay Area market. Stock options are there, but the valuation feels a bit high. Don't expect huge bonuses.
Advice to Management: Revisit the compensation bands for more experienced individual contributors. Make sure stock options feel like a real incentive, not just a lottery ticket.

Okay for experience, but career paths are vague.
Pros: I've learned a ton about processing venture capital data, which is super valuable. The team for data roles is really collaborative, especially when we're in the San Francisco office. It's a decent FinTech startup to get some good initial experience.
Cons: Career growth is a big struggle here. There aren't many clear promotion paths for a Data Analyst like me. It feels like you hit a ceiling pretty fast, especially if you're not on the engineering or sales track.
Advice to Management: Create more defined career paths for individual contributors, especially for data roles outside of pure engineering. Help people see what's next for them.
