Manufacturing Engineer
2.7
22 April 2026
Pay is Average, Benefits Are Solid Here
Pros: The health and dental benefits package is actually pretty solid, especially for a mid-sized company. I've also found the 401k match to be decent. For Manufacturing Engineer roles in the Houston, TX area, the PTO is pretty standard.
Cons: My pay felt a bit low compared to the market for an experienced engineer in manufacturing. It's tough to get significant raises here, they don't happen often. Bonuses aren't really a thing for most of us.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the salary bands for engineering roles like Manufacturing Engineer. Attracting top talent means competitive compensation in the Houston market.

Decent culture, but room to improve
Pros: There's good team spirit among the engineering department. Folks are always willing to help out, which is great for a new **Junior Electrical Engineer**. The **hybrid work** option helps with work-life balance too. It's a generally positive environment day-to-day.
Cons: Sometimes the **company culture** feels a bit rigid, especially for those of us in the **Houston, TX office**. There's not much flexibility for new ideas in **industrial automation projects**. Decisions can take a while to trickle down, which is a drag.
Advice to Management: Try to be more open to new approaches and empower project teams more. Fostering a more agile environment for **engineering roles** would boost morale and innovation.

Junior Software Engineer

24 December 2025
Hybrid model for engineering roles has pros and cons
Pros: The team is really solid, everyone helps each other out. They've got a decent hybrid work model, which helps avoid the full commute to the Boston office every day. It's a good place to learn a lot about manufacturing software, especially for entry-level engineering roles.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real struggle here, especially for junior software engineers. You often get hit with crunch times and there's an on-call rotation that eats into personal time. The hours can feel long in this mid-sized tech company.
Advice to Management: Try to lighten the on-call burden for engineering roles. Better planning might help avoid those crunch times for the industrial automation projects.
