Pros: It's incredibly fulfilling to work in international development. You really feel like you're making a difference. Colleagues are passionate and the mission keeps you going.
Cons: Leadership at this global NGO can feel quite distant from daily operations. It's hard to see a clear path for career growth as a Program Officer. Decisions sometimes feel top-down without much input.
Advice to Management: Try to connect more with staff, especially Program Officers. Make decision-making more transparent for everyone. Help people see what their next steps can be here.
