Decent hybrid model, but not much wiggle room
Pros: As an Associate Software Engineer, the hybrid work model is pretty decent. We get 2-3 days remote each week in the Denver office, which helps with the commute and personal errands.
Cons: However, getting full remote approval is tough for most software development roles, even with proven productivity. The core hours can be a bit strict, making it hard to schedule personal appointments sometimes.
Advice to Management: Consider more trust in employees for full remote options, especially for senior software engineers. Re-evaluate strict core hours to allow more personal flexibility.

Pay's fine for a startup, but benefits need work.
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the base salary here in San Francisco isn't bad for a smaller tech startup. You can definitely get by. They offer decent health insurance options.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, honestly. Stock options aren't super competitive, and the 401k match is pretty weak. Don't expect big perks like at larger tech companies.
Advice to Management: Boost the 401k match and make stock options more attractive to retain talent. Invest in better benefits for employees.

Pay is fine, but benefits need work.
Pros: For a Software Engineer at a mid-sized tech company, the base salary is pretty decent in San Francisco. They do match 401k up to a point, which is a solid perk.
Cons: The health insurance plans aren't great, honestly. Stock options are pretty stingy for a company this size, especially compared to other software development firms. Raises are kinda small.
Advice to Management: You really need to re-evaluate the benefits package, especially health insurance options. Also, consider making stock options more competitive for tech talent to retain good people.
