Pros: I've really enjoyed my time here as a Research Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. The company culture is quite supportive, and my colleagues in Espoo are fantastic. There are good opportunities for learning and development, especially with new projects. It's a stable company, which is great for job security, and the work-life balance is generally pretty decent. They encourage a collaborative hybrid work environment.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow sometimes. While there's development, moving up the ladder takes patience, which might frustrate some. Also, like any large pharma company, there's a fair bit of bureaucracy and some legacy systems that can make processes a bit cumbersome. Communication sometimes feels top-down.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer pathways for career advancement and streamline some of the internal approval processes. Improving internal communication from leadership would also be beneficial.

Pros: It's a stable place, especially in the pharmaceutical R&D sector. You get solid benefits and the work itself can be pretty interesting for a Research Associate. I liked the team in the Espoo office.
Cons: Career growth is definitely slow for technical roles. There's not much of a clear path upwards without a PhD. Internal promotions don't happen often, making it hard to advance in this large corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Focus more on creating clear career development plans for non-PhD scientific staff. It's tough to see a future without better internal mobility options. Invest in more training too.

Pros: As a Clinical Research Associate, I appreciated the two to three work-from-home days a week. That really helped balance things out and is solid for a big pharma company. The hybrid model is well-established.
Cons: On the flip side, when you're in the Espoo office, the core hours are super strict. You can't really shift your start or end times, which makes daily flexibility pretty tough. It's a very corporate environment in that regard.
Advice to Management: Try to give teams more autonomy over their daily schedules, even on office days. A little more trust goes a long way for employee morale.
