Pros: The hybrid model is great; I can work remotely from home a few days each week, which really helps my commute. Most weeks are solid 40-hour weeks for engineering roles, and the PTO is pretty good for a big tech company.
Cons: The biggest downside is the crunch periods. When we're nearing a big release in the gaming industry, expect some longer hours. On-call rotations for certain teams can also eat into your personal time outside of work hours.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out the crunch times better, especially for the core game development teams. More realistic project planning could significantly improve employee well-being.

Pros: I appreciate the hybrid model; it's a decent setup for a big tech company. For a Software Engineer, having those WFH days really helps cut down on the San Mateo, CA commute. It offers some control over my schedule, which is good.
Cons: The push for more onsite days is getting tougher to manage. Sometimes, the flexibility isn't consistent across all game development teams. I wish there were more truly remote options for engineering roles.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more consistent remote work options across all teams to truly enhance work flexibility. The current hybrid model could use clearer guidelines and more employee input.
