Okay Place, Tough for Real Growth Here
Pros: The hybrid work model is pretty good, offers some flexibility. I've learned a lot about the freight brokerage industry basics. The team in the Charlotte, NC office is usually supportive too.
Cons: Career growth here is a major slow crawl for Logistics Coordinators. There aren't many clear paths or promotions, even after good performance reviews. It's tough to move into higher-level supply chain management roles.
Advice to Management: Create clearer internal promotion paths and development programs for entry-level transportation roles. Invest in mentorship.

Leadership's a mixed bag at RXO
Pros: Some team leads are really supportive, especially for new Logistics Coordinator roles. They're good mentors if you're trying to build a career in supply chain logistics.
Cons: It feels like upper leadership in the Charlotte, NC office is pretty detached. Decisions come down without much explanation, which makes navigating the daily grind in the freight brokerage industry tougher.
Advice to Management: Try to be more visible and involved with the frontline logistics teams. Your decisions impact daily operations significantly, so better communication and understanding of ground-level challenges would help.

Work-life balance is okay for logistics
Pros: The team here is pretty solid and I've picked up a ton about the transportation industry. As a Logistics Coordinator in the Charlotte, NC office, I can sometimes leave right at 5 PM if the freight volume is calm. They've got decent benefits too.
Cons: Work-life balance can get really tough when there are urgent shipping deadlines. It's not uncommon to work late during peak seasons. The pressure to move loads quickly can be a lot, making after-hours work pretty common.
Advice to Management: Management should try to better manage the high freight volumes to cut down on late nights for the operations teams. More staffing could really help with the workload for Logistics Coordinators, especially here in the Charlotte office.

Okay for entry-level, but growth is tough
Pros: You learn a lot about the transportation industry really quickly as a Logistics Coordinator. There's good initial training for new hires. The benefits package is pretty decent too for a corporate environment.
Cons: Career growth is pretty slow, honestly. There aren't many clear paths to move up for entry-level roles. You can get stuck doing the same thing for a while, even if you want more responsibility. It feels like you have to really fight for promotions within freight brokerage.
Advice to Management: Create clearer promotion tracks and mentorship programs for individual contributors, especially for Logistics Coordinator roles. Invest more in internal development rather than just hiring externally for senior positions to improve career growth.

Okay flexibility, but room for more WFH options
Pros: I've had a solid hybrid schedule as a Logistics Coordinator in the Charlotte office. It's nice to have some WFH days. The company is pretty big in freight brokerage, so there's a lot of infrastructure to support this setup.
Cons: Work flexibility could be better for certain operations roles. It's tough sometimes when you need to be onsite more than you'd like. There's not much wiggle room if your personal schedule changes suddenly.
Advice to Management: Consider expanding remote work options for roles that don't require daily onsite presence. More trust in employees could go a long way for morale.

Decent Benefits, Base Pay Needs an Update
Pros: The medical benefits are pretty solid here, which is a big plus. We've got a good 401k match too. It's nice to have those basics covered for a big corporate company.
Cons: But honestly, the base pay for Logistics Coordinator roles in the transportation brokerage side feels a bit low for the logistics industry. Raises aren't huge either. It's tough to feel valued when compensation doesn't keep up.
Advice to Management: Seriously look at the base salary ranges for various roles, especially for experienced staff. You're losing good people to competitors in the logistics industry because of this.
