Pros: As a remote Software Engineer, I've found projects tend to be long-term, which is good for stability. The IT services industry is always busy, so there's usually another project if yours ends.
Cons: Job security really depends on client contracts. If a project ends, you might be on the bench for a bit, or even worse. There's not always clear communication about upcoming client changes, which is tough.
Advice to Management: Management should work on better internal project allocation when client contracts are ending. Clearer and more proactive communication about project status would help calm a lot of anxieties.
