Decent Flexibility, But Expect to Be Onsite
Pros: As a Technical Recruiter, I liked the option for a hybrid work schedule. You can definitely work from home a couple days a week, which is a big plus for work-life balance in the IT staffing industry. It's not fully remote, but it's better than nothing.
Cons: The WFH days sometimes feel like an unspoken expectation to be online longer than a standard 40-hour week. For those of us in the New York City office, the commute really adds up on the required in-office days. It's not always easy to adjust your schedule last minute if something comes up.
Advice to Management: Try to truly support flexible hours, not just WFH days. Be clearer about expectations during remote work for your Technical Recruiter roles.

Work-life balance is okay, but it's a hustle
Pros: The hybrid model is a big plus; it's nice to have WFH days when you need them. As an IT Recruiter, you get decent exposure to the NYC tech staffing market. Managers aren't always breathing down your neck, which helps manage daily stress.
Cons: Expect long hours, especially at month-end. The pressure to hit targets for IT consulting roles can be really intense. It's tough to truly disconnect sometimes, even with the WFH option.
Advice to Management: Try to balance the sales targets with realistic expectations for employee well-being. Burnout is a real concern in this competitive tech staffing industry.

Good Start for Recruiters, Then It Gets Tough
Pros: I learned a lot about tech recruitment here, especially fresh out of school. As a Technical Recruiter in the New York City office, you get solid training. They really teach you the ropes for entry-level IT staffing roles.
Cons: Career growth kinda plateaus after a couple of years if you're not consistently billing big. It's a mid-sized staffing firm, so sometimes internal opportunities feel limited. Moving up to management takes a long time, sometimes it's faster to leave.
Advice to Management: Focus more on structured career pathing for all employees, not just the top billers. Create more internal development programs for senior recruiters beyond just 'bill more'.
