Decent remote work, but don't expect quiet evenings
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the ability to work remotely from my home in Atlanta is fantastic. They're pretty flexible with start times, which helps a lot with personal errands. It's nice to not commute.
Cons: The biggest issue for work-life balance is the expectation for late meetings, common in the Fintech industry. I've had calls past 7 PM ET multiple times a week. It can be tough to disconnect when you're always on call.
Advice to Management: Try to schedule meetings within core business hours and be mindful of different time zones for your remote employees. It would greatly improve the work-life balance for many.

Career growth feels a bit stuck here
Pros: There's a decent amount of stability since it's a larger corporate company in the FinTech industry. You can gain good experience working with varied payment solutions. The remote work flexibility is pretty solid, which helps with work-life balance.
Cons: Formal career paths aren't very clear for software development roles. It's tough to see a strong promotion track, and you have to really advocate for yourself. I haven't seen much dedicated mentorship for career advancement.
Advice to Management: Please create clearer, more transparent career progression plans for technical roles, especially for remote employees. Invest more in structured mentorship programs and skill development beyond just the immediate project needs.

Product Manager

Okay pay, but benefits could be better
Pros: You get a decent base salary if you negotiate well, especially for Product Manager positions. The hybrid work setup is pretty flexible, which helps a lot with balancing things. They do offer a 401k match, which is solid.
Cons: The health insurance options aren't great, and the out-of-pocket costs can be high. I didn't feel like the annual raises kept up with inflation, which is tough. Other companies in the FinTech industry offer better perks.
Advice to Management: Review the benefits package, especially health insurance, to be more competitive with other mid-sized tech companies. Also, ensure annual raises reflect current market conditions.
