Flexibility is Okay, Depends on Your Team
Pros: I've found the hybrid work setup pretty decent for my Software Engineer role. Being remote from Berlin, I can WFH a few days a week, which really helps with personal stuff. It's a solid perk in this corporate environment, especially working on digital health solutions.
Cons: But it's not super consistent across all teams or departments, especially for those working directly on onsite healthcare IT implementations. Getting full remote approval can be a tough battle for some, and there's not a ton of flexibility on core work hours. It's tough when some roles get more freedom than others.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the work-from-home and hybrid work policies across all teams in the company, not just for specific technical roles. More consistency in work flexibility would really help boost morale and attract talent, especially for healthcare IT professionals.

Okay for stability, tough for real growth
Pros: It's a solid place if you like stability in healthcare IT. You can learn a lot about established medical software systems. There are internal training modules available if you look for them.
Cons: Career growth here is pretty slow for Software Engineer roles. Promotions don't come easily. It's a big corporate environment, so moving up or trying new tech feels limited.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on clearer career paths and faster promotion opportunities. Give people more chances to work on new projects and learn new technologies within the medical software space.

Leadership is hit or miss in healthcare IT
Pros: I've had some truly supportive managers, especially early on as a Software Engineer. They really helped me with career growth and learning our medical software systems. The remote work flexibility is also a solid perk here.
Cons: Leadership consistency is pretty tough to find across the board. Some senior leaders in healthcare IT seem totally out of touch with our daily project realities. Decision-making can feel super slow and disconnected from the ground level.
Advice to Management: Please try to standardize leadership training and expectations across all departments. Encourage more bottom-up feedback and actually act on it to improve project execution. Make sure leaders truly understand the technical challenges we face developing complex medical software.

Dedalus is okay, but culture needs work.
Pros: You're working on important digital health solutions, which feels meaningful. The benefits are solid for a large corporate company. There's also some flexibility with a hybrid work model, which is nice.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty traditional and top-down. Innovation for IT roles can be slow. It's hard to get new ideas approved, and processes are very bureaucratic.
Advice to Management: Try to foster a more open and collaborative environment. Empower teams more and reduce the red tape for new initiatives.

Decent Flexibility, But Depends on Your Team
Pros: For a **Technical Consultant**, the ability to work **remote** is a huge plus. My team was pretty understanding about flexible hours, which is great for personal appointments. You can often shift your day around if needed in this **healthcare IT** space.
Cons: While there's remote work, true work-from-home flexibility can vary wildly by project manager. Some expect strict 9-5 availability, even if you're hitting your targets. It's not a truly flexible work environment for all **Dedalus employees**, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Standardize the approach to **work flexibility** across different departments and project teams. Managers need clearer guidelines on WFH policies to ensure fairness.

Job Security's Decent, But Keep Your Eyes Open
Pros: It's a big company in the healthcare IT industry, so there's usually work. For Software Engineer roles, especially on core products, projects can be pretty stable for a while. The hybrid work model helps with consistency too.
Cons: They do have waves of restructuring, which can make things feel a bit shaky. I've seen some project-based layoffs, even for tenured folks, which isn't great for peace of mind. Job security isn't guaranteed.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate more clearly about future plans and minimize the impact of restructurings on employee morale and job security. A more consistent approach would reduce anxiety.
