Okay Place, But Pay and Benefits Are Tough
Pros: The health insurance plans offered are solid, though they aren't exactly cheap. They do offer a 401k, which is a standard benefit to have. For onsite corporate roles, it's nice to at least have some options.
Cons: Pay for community staff is just okay, definitely not competitive in the current Florida market. Raises are super small and don't keep up with inflation at all. You really feel the pinch, especially with high deductibles on the better health plans.
Advice to Management: Seriously re-evaluate the pay scales for all front-line employees. Competitive wages and better benefits, especially lower deductibles, would make a huge difference in retention for community staff.

Leadership Team Needs Better Vision
Pros: Some regional managers are really supportive and know their stuff for sales roles. They give solid guidance if you ask. The local onsite team can be great to work with day-to-day.
Cons: Executive leadership often shifts strategy without clear communication. It's hard to hit sales targets when priorities keep changing, especially in the competitive senior living industry. There's not much empowerment for community-level leadership.
Advice to Management: Focus on consistent strategic direction from corporate leadership. Empower your community leaders more and trust their local market knowledge in the senior living sector.

Decent Culture, But Needs Some Work
Pros: The best part is honestly the people you work with directly in the Naples, Florida office. As a Community Relations Manager, you connect with residents, which is super rewarding in the senior living industry. My immediate team was always supportive, making onsite work better.
Cons: There's often a disconnect between corporate and the individual communities. It feels like top-down decisions sometimes ignore what's happening on the ground. This can make the overall company culture feel a bit impersonal, and it's tough when you're trying to build local relationships.
Advice to Management: Listen more to the community-level teams. Bridging that gap between corporate strategy and daily operations would really boost morale and improve company culture.

Pay is okay, but benefits need work
Pros: The hourly pay for my Activities Director role was pretty decent for Naples, FL. It's a big corporate company, so payroll is always on time. You do get some basic dental and vision coverage.
Cons: The health insurance plans had really high deductibles, making them not very useful. There wasn't much choice for benefits overall. The PTO policy felt pretty standard, nothing special for the senior living sector.
Advice to Management: You guys should really look into better health insurance options for employees. More competitive benefits would attract and keep better talent, especially in this demanding senior living industry.
