Okay Flexibility, But Not Truly Remote
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work arrangement, so I wasn't in the Austin, TX office five days a week. We could usually pick our WFH days, which was nice for personal appointments.
Cons: The "flexible hours" concept isn't as solid as advertised for my Software Engineer role. You still need to be online during core hours, which limits true work flexibility. It can feel a bit corporate sometimes.
Advice to Management: Really commit to the flexible hours idea, or be more upfront about core hour expectations. It helps EdTech professionals plan their days better.
