Pros: As a DevOps Engineer, the work flexibility is pretty solid. I'm fully remote and can mostly manage my own schedule. It's good for juggling personal stuff, which is a big plus.
Cons: While it's flexible, the workload in IT consulting can be heavy. Sometimes project demands mean you're still putting in long hours, even if you pick your start time. Communication across time zones for remote teams isn't always easy either.
Advice to Management: Try to streamline project management to help reduce those last-minute rushes. Better tools for asynchronous communication would really help out all the remote teams.
