Pros: As a Technical Consultant, my work-life balance was generally good. Most weeks were a pretty standard 40 hours, especially in the Dallas office. The hybrid work model helped a lot with personal appointments.
Cons: However, project deadlines for enterprise software solutions could be brutal. There were definite crunch times where I worked 50-60 hour weeks. Sometimes, requesting time off felt a bit challenging during these periods.
Advice to Management: Leadership needs to better manage project scopes to avoid the frequent crunch periods. More support during critical phases would really help with employee burnout.
