Pros: Work-life balance is pretty good here. As a Software Engineer, I usually hit my 40-hour weeks, which is a big plus. The hybrid work schedule really helps too, splitting time between the Des Moines office and WFH.
Cons: Career growth can feel slow sometimes. There's not always a clear path upwards in this large corporate environment. The projects aren't always the most innovative or challenging for my specific role.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career progression paths for technical roles. Encourage more innovation and skill development opportunities within teams.

Cons: While it's a hybrid model, it's not truly remote work, so don't expect full WFH. Some teams are definitely more flexible than others, so it really depends on your manager. It can feel a bit old-school sometimes with the requirement to be in the office a certain number of days.

Cons: The company culture can be a bit old-fashioned. Change is really slow, which gets frustrating as a Business Analyst trying to push new initiatives. Sometimes, it feels like bureaucracy outweighs agility, making the hybrid work model less effective than it could be for our finance roles.
Advice to Management: Try to embrace modern ways of working more. Empower teams to move faster and cut down on some of the red tape that slows things down. Focus on fostering a more agile culture across the board.
