Pros: Working at Milhouse Engineering was a really solid experience for me as a Junior Civil Engineer. I learned so much, especially about infrastructure projects in Chicago. There's a strong emphasis on mentorship, which is fantastic for career growth. My colleagues were always willing to help, making it a supportive environment. The company culture encourages continuous learning and professional development within the engineering industry.
Cons: While the learning opportunities are great, the career progression, especially for internal promotions, felt a bit slow at times. Sometimes, administrative approvals for project tasks could also take longer than ideal, which occasionally impacted project timelines for our civil engineering division. It wasn't a huge deal, but something to improve.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining the promotion process and administrative approvals to better support project execution and employee development.
