Leadership is okay, but needs consistency
Pros: Some senior managers in the San Francisco office are truly invested in your growth. As a Software Engineer, I felt supported by my direct lead. They make sure you get good project exposure in the fintech sector.
Cons: But the higher-ups? It's a mixed bag. Communication from executive leadership can be pretty inconsistent, especially with strategy shifts. It sometimes feels like they're out of touch with the hybrid model team's daily challenges.
Advice to Management: Really listen to your team leads and make sure executive decisions are clearly communicated down. Be more visible and engaged with the hybrid model employees.

Decent Starter Role, Work Flexibility Needs Work
Pros: The compensation for a Financial Analyst here is pretty solid, especially for San Francisco. I learned a lot about real estate finance and the market. Team members are generally bright and helpful.
Cons: Work flexibility is a real issue. As a Financial Analyst, I was mostly expected onsite, so don't count on much WFH. It's not truly a hybrid setup for many roles, which can make work-life balance tough. The corporate structure feels pretty traditional.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible work options, especially true hybrid models for Financial Analyst roles and similar positions. It would help with employee retention and overall work-life balance.

Pay's Okay, Benefits Need Some Work
Pros: The base salary for a mid-level Software Engineer is pretty decent, especially for remote work. They do cover basic health insurance, which is a solid plus. It's okay for the fintech industry, honestly.
Cons: Annual raises aren't great; it's tough to get a significant bump. Performance bonuses are almost non-existent, so don't expect much extra. Benefits outside of health are pretty barebones compared to big tech companies.
Advice to Management: You've got decent people, but competitive pay and better benefits would help retain talent. Look at what other fintech companies are offering for similar roles, especially for remote engineers. Bonuses and more substantial annual raises would make a huge difference.
