Pros: I've met some really smart folks here, especially in the core software development teams. The hybrid work setup is solid, giving us flexibility without losing all in-person connection at the Seattle office. There's a good sense of camaraderie within smaller project teams for a mid-sized tech company.
Cons: The overall company culture feels a bit siloed between departments. It's tough for a tech industry company to grow without losing that startup feel, and we're definitely past that. Decision-making can be slow, which sometimes causes frustration for technical roles trying to push new features.
Advice to Management: Really focus on breaking down those departmental silos. Streamline decision-making processes, especially for new projects and technical initiatives, to improve the overall company culture.

Pros: My immediate team lead was pretty solid. They really supported me as a Software Engineer and understood the technical challenges. The collaborative environment among developers was good too.
Cons: Upper management in this mid-sized tech company often felt disconnected. There's not enough clear direction for big projects, which slows down software development. Communication often felt like an afterthought, especially for those of us working hybrid in Austin, TX.
Advice to Management: Senior leaders need to be more transparent. Explain the 'why' behind decisions better. Improve communication channels, especially for our hybrid teams.
