Pay is Okay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is pretty competitive for the online gaming industry in Gurgaon. You do get decent health insurance, which is a big plus. We also have an annual bonus, though it's not huge.
Cons: The overall benefits package isn't great. There aren't many perks beyond the basic health coverage. I've seen better retirement plans at other tech companies. They could really improve the total compensation for us.
Advice to Management: Management should definitely re-evaluate the full benefits package. Adding better retirement options or more unique perks would make a big difference. It's important for retaining talent in this competitive tech market.

Okay Place, But Job Security Is a Concern
Pros: I've learned a lot working as a Game Developer at Baazi Games. The team in the Delhi office is generally supportive and the work in the online gaming industry is exciting. It's a decent environment for skill development.
Cons: Job security isn't great here, honestly. Project changes can lead to unexpected team reshuffles, which makes you feel a bit uncertain about your role. There's not much clarity on long-term career paths sometimes.
Advice to Management: Management should work on clearer long-term strategies and better communication about project stability. It would help a lot with employee retention and overall morale for people in creative roles like Game Developer.

Work-life balance is tough, but pay is okay.
Pros: The pay for a Software Engineer here is pretty solid, especially for the online gaming industry. You get to work on some really interesting game development projects. It's a good place to learn a lot quickly.
Cons: Work-life balance can definitely suffer, especially during crunch times for new releases. Expect long hours in the Gurgaon office, often late nights. It's not always a 40-hour work week; sometimes you're really pushing it for gaming development roles.
Advice to Management: Focus more on sustainable project timelines to help improve employee work-life balance. Overtime shouldn't be the norm for all gaming development roles; it burns people out.
