Good start, but career growth stalls
Pros: Starting out as a Junior Software Engineer, I got a lot of hands-on experience quickly. The team in the Austin, TX office was supportive for learning the ropes. It's a decent spot for a first job in software development.
Cons: Career progression here is pretty tough for tech roles. After the initial learning curve, there aren't many clear paths to move up into a Senior Software Engineer position. I haven't seen much investment in skills development for experienced team members in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Invest more in clear career paths and mentorship programs for experienced developers. It would help a lot with retention.

Job Security is a Bit Shaky Here
Pros: I liked working with my team as a Logistics Coordinator. The remote work setup is solid, which is a huge plus for my schedule. You also get to tackle some interesting problems in the e-commerce industry.
Cons: Job security here isn't great, honestly. There's always talk of layoffs, and they cut projects suddenly. It's tough to plan your career when things change so fast.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's direction. More stability would really help boost morale and reduce the constant fear of job loss for employees, especially in roles like Logistics Coordinator.

Hybrid work model is decent, but has limits
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model, which is nice. As a Junior Software Engineer, I could usually work from home two days a week. The office in Austin, TX is pretty modern and easy to get to.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't really there beyond the hybrid structure. You can't really shift your core hours easily for personal appointments without using PTO. For a home services tech company, I expected more trust for remote work options.
Advice to Management: Trust your employees more with flexible hours. It's not just about hybrid, but real autonomy for different work styles.
