Pros: The hybrid work model is a big plus; I could work from home a couple of days a week, which helped with commutes to the Houston office. The benefits package is solid for a corporate environment, especially healthcare and 401k.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real challenge, particularly when managing global LNG shipping operations. It's not uncommon to put in more than 40 hours, and urgent issues often crop up outside of regular business hours, impacting personal time.
Advice to Management: Really focus on staffing levels for shore-based marine roles to reduce burnout. Distribute the workload more evenly across the team, especially for critical LNG shipping functions.
