Pros: I've enjoyed the remote work flexibility a lot. As a Software Engineer, you get to work on various agile projects which is good for learning. The startup culture means less red tape, which is a plus.
Cons: Career growth isn't very structured here. You really have to seek out opportunities yourself; there aren't clear promotion paths or mentorship programs readily available for development roles. Compensation can feel a bit low compared to other tech industry companies.
Advice to Management: Implement clearer career ladders and development plans for software development professionals. Offer more internal training resources too.

Pros: Certain project leads are really solid; they offer great direction for our software development tasks. I've seen some good pushes for new tech adoption here. If you find the right manager, communication is pretty clear, even while working remote from Austin.
Cons: The leadership isn't consistent across the board for a mid-sized tech company. Some leaders feel a bit out of touch with what we, as Software Engineers, actually do daily. Decision-making can sometimes be really slow, which holds up client projects.
Advice to Management: Focus on more consistent leadership training for all managers. Improve transparency, especially around big company decisions, so everyone feels in the loop. It would help a lot with morale.
