Okay WLB, but depends on your department
Pros: As a Marketing Coordinator, my typical 8-hour day in the Manila office was usually manageable. The fashion retail industry can be hectic, but our team had decent flexibility during non-peak seasons. It's a solid place for onsite work if you like a routine.
Cons: Sometimes deadlines for new collections or big campaigns meant longer hours. There isn't much work from home option, which can be tough when you need it. It's not always consistent across all departments, some roles definitely get swamped more than others.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing a hybrid model for non-store staff to improve work-life balance further. More consistent support for teams during peak merchandising periods would also help.

Predictable Hours but Little Flexibility for Retail
Pros: I liked the consistent schedule as a Retail Associate. It helped plan my life outside work. The team in the Metro Manila stores was generally pretty solid too.
Cons: Work flexibility is tough here. My onsite shifts were fixed, and it was hard to swap or adjust them, even for personal stuff. For children's clothing retail, it feels a bit rigid.
Advice to Management: Try to offer a bit more flexibility for tenured Retail Associates. Even small adjustments to the fixed schedule would help a lot with employee morale.

Stable Work in Retail, Slow Growth
Pros: Job security here is pretty solid for a retail company, especially as a Sales Associate. I always had consistent hours and shifts in our Metro Manila store. It's nice not to worry about sudden layoffs compared to other fashion retail jobs.
Cons: While job security is good, career growth is really slow. There's not much room to move up from an onsite sales role. The pay isn't great either, which makes it tough to stay long-term if you want more income.
Advice to Management: Think about creating clearer career paths for your long-term employees, especially for onsite store staff. Better training for promotion and maybe a bump in salary could really help retention.
