Pros: I've loved being a Flight Attendant here. The team culture is genuinely supportive, with diverse, helpful colleagues. Training is top-notch, preparing you thoroughly. Travel perks are a huge highlight, letting you explore the world with this stable international airline. A great place to start in aviation.
Cons: Work-life balance is tricky due to irregular flight schedules, common in this industry. Career progression can feel slow, needing patience. Communication on policy updates could improve.
Advice to Management: Continue to look for ways to support work-life balance for operational roles, given the demands of the airline industry. Also, improving clarity and speed of internal communication regarding policy updates would be beneficial for employees.

Pros: I've learned so much as an Airline Sales Executive. The training is comprehensive, and my colleagues are really supportive. Being in the airline industry at Cathay Pacific gives great exposure to diverse global markets. It's a generally stable environment for career development.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow, especially for internal promotions. Communication between departments sometimes needs improvement, and approvals can take a while due to the company's size.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining some of the internal approval processes and focus on improving inter-departmental communication to help teams work more efficiently.

Pros: Some non-operational departments actually have decent hybrid work options, especially for certain back-office roles. If your manager is understanding, you might get some work-from-home days even in the Hong Kong office. They are trying to adapt to new work styles.
Cons: Unfortunately, for many core airline industry positions, like an Operations Coordinator, it's mostly an onsite role. Remote work options are limited for these essential functions. It can make work-life balance tough when you're always in the office.
Advice to Management: Standardize hybrid work policies across the board where possible, especially for support functions. Don't let old ways of thinking prevent more flexibility for dedicated staff in the airline industry.
