Marketing Coordinator

Solid Place to Grow in Beauty Marketing
Pros: I've really appreciated the collaborative environment here at Avon. My marketing team is super supportive, and there are good learning opportunities, especially with how we leverage digital tools in direct sales. The brand itself has a long history, which feels stable. We've got pretty decent health benefits and the pay for a Marketing Coordinator is competitive in the beauty industry. Plus, the hybrid work setup in New York is a huge plus for my work-life balance.
Cons: Sometimes the approval processes can feel a bit slow, especially with larger campaigns, which can impact project timelines. It'd be great to see some faster career progression paths clearly laid out for corporate roles, though there are opportunities if you seek them out.
Advice to Management: Streamline some of the internal approval processes to accelerate project execution, and consider developing clearer, more transparent career progression frameworks for corporate employees.

Okay flexibility, depends on your team here
Pros: They do offer some WFH days, which is nice. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, I appreciate the occasional remote option for focused work on campaigns. You can usually adjust your hours slightly if you need to, which helps with personal appointments.
Cons: The hybrid model isn't always consistent across teams. Some managers really push for more in-office time, even when it's not needed for the beauty products industry. It's tough to get true work flexibility for big personal events; you still need to request PTO and it's not always easy to get approved.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid work policy across all departments. It would really help with consistency and employee morale if the WFH days were more predictable, especially for marketing roles.

Decent benefits, but pay could be better
Pros: As a Marketing Specialist in the New York City corporate office, the health insurance and 401k match were pretty solid. They offer good time off too, which is a big plus in the beauty industry. It's not bad for a big, established company.
Cons: The base salary isn't super competitive, especially for roles in a major city like NYC. Don't expect huge annual raises; they're usually pretty modest. It feels like you have to really negotiate hard when you first start.
Advice to Management: Focus on more competitive salaries and better annual raise structures to retain good talent, especially for corporate roles in high-cost-of-living areas. It's tough to keep people when other beauty industry companies pay more.
