Solid Company, Work-Life Balance Can Be Tough
Pros: I really liked the hybrid work model; it gave me some flexibility a couple days a week. There's good exposure to the broader financial services and insurance industry here, which is great for career growth. The benefits package is pretty decent too.
Cons: Work-life balance for Financial Analyst roles is often an issue, especially during closeouts. You'll definitely expect some late nights, which is typical for a big corporate environment. It can be tough to completely switch off.
Advice to Management: Try to manage workloads better for junior staff. Burnout is a real concern in these demanding roles, especially around financial reporting deadlines.

Growth is tough for entry-level finance
Pros: Good benefits, solid job security for a big financial firm. You learn a lot if you're a new Financial Analyst. The Newark, NJ office has decent amenities.
Cons: Career progression feels slow. It's hard to move up without a clear path. Internal competition for higher roles in investment management is fierce.
Advice to Management: Create more structured career paths for junior roles. Be clearer about promotion criteria. It'll help people see a future here.

Hybrid Model is Okay, Room for Improvement
Pros: What's good about Prudential Financial? The hybrid work model is pretty decent once you're settled in. For a large corporate in the financial services industry, they do offer some remote days. It's nice to have that balance, especially not being fully tethered to the Newark, NJ office.
Cons: But what's the catch with work flexibility? It really depends on your manager. Some teams are super strict about onsite attendance, even with a 'hybrid' policy. It often feels like you're still expected to be onsite most of the time, making actual WFH days hard to count on.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy more across departments. Empower managers but provide clearer guidelines so work flexibility isn't a roll of the dice. New joiners also need more explicit WFH options.
