Company Reviews

We work on some of the world’s most exciting technical projects, creating products that challenge the limits of what’s possible, from cutting-edge medical technology to space vehicles. Our formula includes one simple, surprising low-tech element that makes us stand out from everyone else: Trust.

We trust each other to work hard and do the right thing. We give people credit for their ideas. We take pride in sticking with a problem until it’s solved. We value you for who you are as much as what you can do. We enjoy what we do. And you can do it, too.

Hybrid Is Here, But Not Super Flexible
Pros: It's cool that Moog offers some hybrid options, even as a Manufacturing Engineer. Getting 2 WFH days a week helps skip the East Aurora office commute sometimes. That's a decent perk for a corporate setting, especially for project work in precision engineering.
Cons: Don't expect true flexibility; those WFH days are pretty fixed. For the defense industry, there's always a need for onsite presence for lab work or production support. Not all engineering roles get the same flexibility, which kinda stinks.
Advice to Management: Consider making the hybrid schedule a bit more dynamic. Giving teams more say on their WFH days would greatly improve the actual work-life balance, especially for those in manufacturing engineering. Also, communicate the flexibility policies more clearly across different departments in this corporate environment.

Okay balance for engineers, but it depends
Pros: You can usually stick to 40 hour weeks here as an Aerospace Engineer. The onsite setup in East Aurora, NY means you can really separate work and home, which is nice. There's a decent focus on not overworking people in general.
Cons: Some project deadlines can get intense; expect longer hours occasionally, especially in the aerospace industry. There isn't much work flexibility or remote work options for technical roles. It's a big corporate environment, so innovation can feel slow.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible work policies or hybrid options, especially for long-tenured technical employees. It would really help with employee retention and attract new talent.

Okay pay, but flexibility is a real struggle.
Pros: The pay is pretty decent for a Manufacturing Engineer, especially in the East Aurora, NY area. You'll get solid benefits too, which is a plus for a big corporate company like Moog. Job security generally feels good.
Cons: Work flexibility? Forget about it if you're an engineer here. It's almost all onsite work, no hybrid or remote options for most roles in the aerospace industry. Changing schedules or even leaving early for an appointment is a real hassle, managers aren't very understanding.
Advice to Management: Consider more hybrid work options for roles that don't absolutely require constant hands-on work. Trust your employees to get the job done without being physically present 100% of the time, especially for engineering and office-based roles.
