Pros: The work flexibility here is fantastic; I've been able to work remotely from Columbus, Ohio, which truly helps with my work-life balance. Management trusts us to get our jobs done, and that autonomy is really valued. My colleagues in technical support are always willing to help, making for a genuinely collaborative environment. There are ample opportunities to learn about new data management solutions and expand your skillset in the software industry.
Cons: While the flexibility is great, there are definitely periods where ticket volumes are very high, making it pretty demanding and sometimes impacting personal time. Also, certain internal approval processes, typical for a large enterprise software company, can feel a bit slow when you're trying to get things done quickly for customers, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the remote work culture and consider streamlining some of the internal approval workflows to empower teams to resolve issues faster.

Pros: Veeam genuinely cares about work-life balance, which is a huge plus in the demanding software industry. As a Technical Support Engineer working remotely from Atlanta, GA, I've found the flexibility incredibly valuable. My colleagues are supportive, making it a great environment to learn and grow, especially with their robust data management and backup solutions.
Cons: While the work-life balance is largely positive, there are times when things get really hectic, especially during major product updates or critical customer incidents. It's a fast-paced enterprise software provider, so you occasionally have to put in extra hours. Also, internal communication for some initiatives could be more streamlined, improving overall team efficiency.
Advice to Management: Keep fostering the flexible work environment and investing in career pathing for individual contributors. More transparency around promotion timelines would be beneficial.

Pros: The biggest pro was the remote work flexibility. Being able to WFH from Columbus, OH meant I had more control over my day, which is awesome for family life. It's a solid perk for a company in data protection.
Cons: But hitting those aggressive quarterly quotas as a Sales Engineer was tough. It meant some really long days and nights, especially towards the end of the month. It's hard to truly disconnect sometimes, even with good PTO.
Advice to Management: Try to set more realistic expectations around sales quotas. The constant pressure can lead to burnout for Sales Engineers, impacting long-term productivity in the data protection space.
