Good Work-Life Balance, Decent Role
Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge benefit, offering good flexibility. As a Recruiter, I usually stuck to a 40-hour week. It's a decent spot for work-life balance in the staffing industry, especially with the WFH options.
Cons: Peak seasons can get hectic, making it tough to truly unplug from client demands. Career progression feels a bit slow if you're not constantly pushing for new opportunities within this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer career paths for individual contributors and try to smooth out workload fluctuations during peak times for better employee well-being. Invest more in technology for recruiters too.

Hybrid Work Helps, But Demands are High
Pros: The hybrid work option is a real plus for my Staffing Coordinator role. It definitely helps with commute time, especially in the Milwaukee office. You get decent PTO and the WFH flexibility is solid.
Cons: Work-life balance is just tough in the recruitment industry. Client demands often mean long hours, and I'm checking emails late. The constant pressure to hit metrics can be draining.
Advice to Management: Try to manage client expectations better so Staffing Coordinators don't feel constantly on-call. More support for burnout prevention would really help your recruitment professionals.

Pay is okay, benefits could be better
Pros: The base salary for a Recruitment Consultant was pretty standard for the recruitment industry. You get paid bi-weekly, which is good for budgeting. There are some opportunities for commission for staffing roles, which can boost your income if you're hitting your numbers.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, honestly. Health insurance premiums were pretty high, and the 401k match wasn't as competitive as other large staffing firms. It felt like I was giving a lot back just to cover essentials, affecting my overall compensation.
Advice to Management: Really review the benefits structure. Lowering health insurance costs or increasing the 401k match would make a huge difference in retaining talent, especially for those working in the contingent workforce segment.
