Pros: You do get some hybrid work arrangements which is nice, letting us work from home a few days a week. For advisory services, it's pretty decent outside of client deadlines. It's a good perk when it works.
Cons: During busy season, especially in public accounting, that flexibility goes out the window. You're expected in the New York City office a lot. True remote options are pretty limited for a Senior Accountant; it feels more like an onsite role during crunch times.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce the hybrid work model consistently, even during peak times, or be more upfront about the limited flexibility during busy seasons for public accounting roles.

Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work options we get, especially during the non-busy season. It's nice to have some flexibility for remote work for audit staff when client deadlines aren't crushing us. The firm does try to offer some mental health days too.
Cons: Busy season means really long weeks, sometimes 60-70 hours. As a Senior Audit Associate, you're expected to put in a lot of extra time. Weekend work isn't uncommon, which really impacts personal life and makes planning tough.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations and resource allocation, especially for audit teams. More predictable schedules, even during busy season, would really help with burnout and retention.

Pros: They do offer a hybrid model now for Senior Auditor roles, which is a big improvement for public accounting. You can usually WFH a couple days a week outside of busy season. It's nice not to be in the Philadelphia office all the time.
Cons: Forget real work flexibility during tax season or intense client engagements. You're pretty much expected to be available 24/7 then. It really impacts your personal life, and WFH is often just working more hours from home.
Advice to Management: Really look at how to support employees during tax season. More resources or clear boundaries on hours could help with burnout, especially with the hybrid model.
