Work-Life Balance is a Mixed Bag
Pros: I appreciate the remote work flexibility as a Senior Consultant. Being able to work from home really helps with personal stuff. Plus, for a global consulting firm, the project variety is good.
Cons: The work-life balance is definitely tough, though. Client demands in human capital consulting can lead to pretty long hours. It's not uncommon to put in 50+ hours a week, which makes disconnecting hard.
Advice to Management: Encourage teams to set clear boundaries and enforce realistic expectations on client response times. More focus on employee well-being beyond just words would help reduce burnout for talent acquisition specialists.

Solid job security for core consulting roles
Pros: Job security here is pretty solid, especially if you're a core member of a key practice area like talent strategy or executive search. The company has a strong brand name in management consulting, which keeps the project pipeline fairly consistent.
Cons: However, if client demand dips, some project-based roles or those in smaller divisions can feel less stable. I've seen some restructuring during my time, which made people nervous, particularly outside the Los Angeles office.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about future strategic directions and how they impact different teams, especially as the market shifts. Clear communication helps reduce anxiety about job security.

Leadership is a mixed bag, depends who you get here
Pros: Some of the senior partners and directors are truly inspiring, especially when you're working on a big **talent acquisition** project. They offer good mentorship and push for growth as a **Senior Consultant**. It's a pretty solid corporate environment overall.
Cons: However, leadership can be inconsistent. There's often a lack of clear strategy from the top-tier management, which makes things tough. Sometimes it feels like decisions are made without much input from those of us on the ground in the **Los Angeles office**.
Advice to Management: Work on standardizing leadership training and communication across all levels. Greater transparency about strategic decisions would also really help morale and direction for consultants.
