Culture is Decent, Sales Can Be Tough
Pros: The team environment for Inside Sales Representatives is really supportive. You've got good folks around you, and it's nice to have that camaraderie, especially working hybrid from the Toronto office a few days a week. We focus on selling various IT solutions.
Cons: It's a big corporate environment, so sometimes you feel like just a number. The pressure to hit sales targets can be pretty intense, and it doesn't always feel like your efforts are truly recognized by upper management. Does it always feel like your hard work makes a difference?
Advice to Management: Try to acknowledge individual contributions more, especially for sales teams. It's tough out there, and a little recognition goes a long way.

Decent flexibility for Account Managers
Pros: I've enjoyed the work flexibility here as an Account Manager. Being able to work remote from Toronto a couple days a week is a huge plus. It helps balance client meetings and personal stuff.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility feels a bit uneven across teams. If you're not in a client-facing IT solutions role, it can be tougher to get that WFH time. There's also an expectation to be onsite for team events pretty often.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the remote work policies across all departments, not just client-facing roles. More transparency would help a lot.

Softchoice Culture: Mostly Good, Some Hiccups
Pros: The people are genuinely friendly and supportive. As an Account Manager, I really appreciated the camaraderie in the Toronto office; we had a good team vibe. Collaboration among peers is solid, which makes daily work much easier.
Cons: Leadership often feels a bit disconnected from the day-to-day realities on the ground. The company culture gets a bit diluted with the hybrid model, making it tough to maintain strong connections. Sometimes it feels less about employee well-being and more about numbers.
Advice to Management: Try to bridge the gap between leadership and the front-line teams, especially in a hybrid setup. More consistent messaging and support for employee well-being would go a long way in strengthening the culture.
