Supportive Leadership and Great Work-Life Balance
Pros: I've been a Software Engineer at Perforce for a while now, and I really like it. The leadership here, especially within our product development teams, is very supportive and helps us grow. They really focus on work-life balance too, which is fantastic for a software company in Minneapolis.
Cons: Sometimes, cross-team communication could be a bit clearer. And like any established tech company, we occasionally deal with older systems that can slow things down.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster strong leadership within individual teams and look for ways to streamline cross-functional communication to enhance transparency.

Solid WFH for Senior Engineering Roles
Pros: The remote work flexibility here is a major plus. As a Senior Software Engineer, I can manage my own schedule, which is great for personal commitments. It's a truly WFH-first environment, which is awesome.
Cons: Sometimes the asynchronous communication in a fully remote setup can be a challenge. It's tough for newer folks, especially in development roles, to build connections quickly. The company could improve on structured career pathing for remote employees.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving remote onboarding for new talent, especially in engineering. Maybe more optional virtual social events could help foster connection across different teams.

Remote Work Is Solid, But Watch Out
Pros: The remote policy is really solid, letting me work from California. As a software development professional, that flexibility is a huge plus for personal appointments. They use some good source control management tools.
Cons: Even with remote work, there's pressure for specific core hours. That can make work-life balance tricky sometimes. Some teams have too many required synchronous meetings.
Advice to Management: Encourage teams to be more mindful of meeting schedules across different time zones. Not all work needs to be synchronous, especially for a remote-first company.
