Good WFH, but watch for micromanagement
Pros: The biggest pro here is definitely the work-from-home policy. As a software engineer working on healthcare software, I've really appreciated the flexibility it offers. It's nice not having to commute every day.
Cons: Even with remote work, there's a lot of micromanagement sometimes. It feels like you're constantly proving you're actually working, which takes away from the overall work flexibility. It could be better.
Advice to Management: Trust your remote employees more. Constant check-ins and strict time tracking can really hurt morale and reduce the perceived benefit of flexible work arrangements.

Good flexibility, but can be a double-edged sword
Pros: As an Implementation Consultant, the remote work setup is solid. I can pretty much set my own schedule most days. This flexibility is great for personal appointments, a huge plus in the healthcare software industry.
Cons: Sometimes the lack of structure means lots of meetings get piled on. It can be tough to completely log off when you're working remote. There's also less face-time for career growth opportunities.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries for remote teams. Maybe fewer back-to-back meetings would help. More structured mentorship for remote employees would be a game-changer.

Okay place, but career growth is slow
Pros: You do get to learn a lot about healthcare IT if you're new to the industry. The people are generally good, and benefits are decent. The Overland Park office is pretty nice and well-maintained.
Cons: Career growth for a Software Developer is really slow here. There just aren't many opportunities to advance or take on new, challenging projects. It's easy to get stuck doing the same tasks year after year, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career paths and more chances for internal promotion, especially for technical roles. Investing in modern developer training would also help keep skills fresh and encourage growth.
