Company Reviews

Tasked with tackling a labyrinth of payers and organized customers, with limited resources, payer marketers can sometimes feel trapped between a rock and—well…you know.
Which is why our clients need an agency that knows how to rock in a hard space. Since day one, Payer Sciences has approached managed markets from a different angle. We firmly believe the truth lies in the data. We relentlessly analyze what formulary decision-makers and prescribers actually do, revealing patterns and practices that impact stakeholders across the treatment journey, and drive bottom-line results.

This disciplined approach requires an investment in sharp minds and multiple perspectives. To that end, Payer Sciences has assembled a flat and flexible organization, with analytics, consulting and communications living together under one roof—as one fully aligned team—so that we’re always ready to rock. No matter how hard the space.

Payer Sciences is part of Publicis Health North America, and a subsidiary of the Publicis Group (OTCQX: PUBGY).

Flexible remote work, but client timelines are tight.
Pros: I appreciate the remote work setup; it's a huge plus for my daily schedule. The leadership team in my group understands if you need time off, which is good. For an Associate Consultant, this flexibility makes a real difference.
Cons: Project deadlines in pharmaceutical market access can get really intense, especially nearing client presentations. You're often working more than 40 hours a week then. It's tough to maintain a consistent work-life balance when those crunch times hit.
Advice to Management: Try to staff projects more realistically or give teams more buffer for client deliverables. Burnout is real in healthcare consulting.

Career Growth is Slow for Early-Career Roles
Pros: You'll learn a lot about the healthcare consulting space, especially if you're new to the industry. As an Associate Consultant, I got to work on different projects, which was good for exposure. There are some smart people here you can learn from.
Cons: The promotion track feels really long, and it's not super clear how to accelerate it. There aren't many formal career development programs, so you kind of have to figure things out yourself. It's tough to see a path to senior roles when you're remote.
Advice to Management: Create a clearer path for internal promotions and offer more structured development opportunities for early-career folks in healthcare consulting. Don't wait for people to ask, provide it proactively.
