Flexibility is Decent, But Could Be Better
My time at Sligo Software Solutions Inc. has shown that they offer decent flexibility, especially for remote roles. However, there are definite restrictions that impact true work-life balance for a Software Developer. It's not bad, but it's not top-tier either.
I appreciate the remote work options available here. As a Software Developer remote from Texas, it's nice not to commute daily. We also have fairly flexible start and end times most days, which helps juggle personal stuff. It's a solid perk for this mid-sized tech company.
The 'flexibility' has its limits though. There are strict core hours from 10 AM to 3 PM for everyone. It makes it tough to schedule appointments outside that window. And honestly, for software development, I'd expect more freedom for focused work.
Consider loosening the strict core hours. Empower teams to decide what works best for their workflow. More trust in employees will improve overall morale and productivity for Software Developer roles.
